We are a Norwegian technology company developing intelligent sensor systems for healthcare and industrial applications.
Who we are
Pressure ulcers can develop when patients remain in the same position for too long. Early detection is critical, but continuous monitoring is difficult in busy care environments. SmartMat helps caregivers identify risk areas before tissue damage begins.
Why we started
We started SM Solutions after identifying a clear need for better monitoring and more data-driven prevention in healthcare. Pressure ulcers remain a major challenge, while current prevention routines are often manual, time-based, and resource-intensive. We saw an opportunity to build a more practical and scalable sensing solution.
What we build
Our work combines hardware, embedded electronics, data collection, and visualization into integrated sensing systems. We focus on building solutions that are practical to use, scalable in design, and relevant to real operational needs in healthcare and industry.
